植物细胞是构成植物有机体的基本形态结构和功能单位,而原生质体则是细胞的重要组成部分。除了少数低等植物以外,原生质体都由细胞核、细胞质和细胞器三个部分组成。细胞器的体积比细胞核小得多,周围都有膜包围,它们分散在细胞质内。每一种细胞器都有一定的结构和功能,它们对植物的生命活动起着重要作用。这一节里要介绍的质体,就是细胞中的一类主要细胞器。
Plant cells constitute the basic morphological structure and functional units of plant organisms, while protoplasts are an important part of cells. Except for a few lower plants, protoplasts consist of three parts: the nucleus, the cytoplasm, and the organelle. Organelles are much smaller in size than the nucleus, surrounded by membranes, which are scattered within the cytoplasm. Each organelle has a certain structure and function, they play an important role in plant life activities. The plastid to be introduced in this section is a type of major organelle in a cell.
