Nd-YAG laser was used to irradiate transplanted tumors of 615 mice in inbred lines. The output power of the laser was 5 watts at the end of the fiber and the energy density was 800 Joules/cm2. The results showed that laser confined irradiation, scanning irradiation and blocking plus scanning irradiation can reduce the lung metastasis of tumors, and there are significant differences compared with the control group (P<0.01).
