在学习词汇的过程中我们要善于用比较和归类的方法记忆单词，如比较同形异义词、同音异形词、同形异音词等成串记忆单词，并注意学习短语、固定搭配、习惯用语和句型。现在，我们来看看必修七Units 3～4的重难点词汇。
1. witness
n. 目击者；证人；证据
vt. 目睹；目击
常用搭配： a witness to ... ……的证人，证据
witness to having done 出庭证明，作证说……
One witness to the accident said that the driver appeared to be drunk. 事故的一位目击者说司机看上去好像喝醉了。
He witnessed to having seen the man enter the room. 他证明那个人进了房间。
China has witnessed great changes in the past thirty years. 在过去的三十年里中国发生了巨大的变化。
2. abandon
vt. 遗弃；抛弃；放弃
常用搭配：abandon doing sth 放弃做某事
abandon oneself to .../be abandoned to 沉湎于……， 纵情于……
类似的常考短语还有：be addicted to（沉迷于……）， be used/accustomed to（习惯于...）， be absorbed/buried in（专心于……）， be employed/engaged/occupied in（忙于……）。

5. adjust
