济良所是近代出现的一种新型慈善机构,其主要职能是救助娼妓等社会弱势女子。京师济良所设立于1906年,初由当时的警察机构外城巡警总厅督同绅士共同创办,带有“官督绅办”的色彩,民国以后由官方办理,归京师警察厅全权负责管理,成了警察厅的一个附属单位。本文据有关档案、报刊等史料,对清末民初京师济良所的设立、管理、运营、经费及社会影响等方面进行考察和梳理,以期从一个微观的角度来反映近代慈善组织的发展和演变。
