当今世界羽坛的混双形势,是名符其实的“欧亚鼎立”:亚洲有张楠/赵芸蕾(中国)、徐晨/马晋(中国)、阿玛德/纳西尔(印尼),欧洲有尼尔森/彼德森(丹麦)、托马斯/卡米拉(丹麦)、艾德考克/班吉尔(英国)。尽管从排名来看,亚洲选手明显高于欧洲选手,但实际上实力差距非常微弱,今年世界排名第一的张楠/赵芸蕾已经两度第一轮就败在英国选手艾德考克/班吉尔拍下;而徐晨/马晋则在前不久的全英公开赛上输给丹麦选手托马斯/卡米拉,他们与尼尔森/彼得森的交手更是互有胜负。
