For Shoegaze this style, it seems the only widely used translation is “Zique”, may also include “stare shoes school.” As the name implies, the musician stands still on the stage while playing, without too many exchanges and more monographs playing the music. This music movement was active in the 1980s and 1990s. Although only a brief ten-year period, it created a large number of classic bands from My Bloody Valentine, Ride to Lush and Slowdive. From the music of these bands, we can feel a collective leap of music era, coupled with the then very close style, such as Jesus And Mary Chain, Sonic Youth and a series of noise bands, they become the nineties boom of independent music landscape The missing part. Shoegaze is the most prominent feature of this style is continuous noise mixed with beautiful melodies, it is not blindly manic, but fantasy and stretch, tone and melody created their dream-like listening experience. Shoegaze’s rise and fall in the history of the music is only a moment, while the UK is the birthplace of the most important Shoegaze band, we can say that this music trend is transient, but it has affected many music styles such as Dream Pop and Noise Pop. And as of today there are still countless fans still obsessed with this.
