Homily Baba and Tony Morrison occupy a pivotal position in the contemporary American literary arena. As an important member of post-colonial discourse “Holy Trinity ”, Baba is unique in its hybridism theory and cosmopolitan ideal and seeks narrative rights for “minority ” citizens of the world. Morrison, a member of the United States Black women who persevere in the social cracks can be described as the important representatives of the “minorities.” Her poetic writing has written the good wishes of the exchange and integration between heterogeneous cultures, which exactly coincides with Baba’s post-colonialist theory. Based on Morrison’s fourth novel “Asphalt Kids”, I try to interpret the common ideal of these two masters of literature.
