结香(Edgworthia Chrysantha Lindl),又名打结花、撅不断、黄瑞香。系瑞香科、结香属落叶性小灌木。叶互生,具短柄,广披针形,全缘,深绿色,常簇生于枝条顶端。呈三叉分枝,枝条柔软,可弯曲360度而不断折。8-9月在每根当年生枝条顶芽下方形成数个伞形头状花蕾,外面密生绢状白绒毛。来年早春展叶前,花序上的多数筒状小花由外至内次第开放,花黄色,具芳香。花盛开时,整个花序呈一球形,直径达3-4cm,花期长达近两个月。(见结香开花照片)由于结香拥有叶片清翠碧绿、枝条柔韧易造型、花朵开放在冬春少花的淡季、花香浓郁且花期长、耐瘠薄、易栽培、少病虫害等诸多优点而深受人们喜爱。近年来,结香已成为北方家庭常见的盆栽花木。结香固然栽培较容易,但要使其生长好、现蕾多、花香浓、观赏价值高,仍需识其习性,加强管理措施。结香属肉质根,喜盆大、适度湿润,怕积水久湿;好温暖湿润环境,不耐严寒;耐半荫,畏北方夏季烈日。要求排水良好的微酸性土壤,不能在碱土中生长。据此习性,可参照以下方法养管: Knot (Edgworthia Chrysantha Lindl), also known as knot flowers, 撅 constantly, Huang Rui Hong.
