《幼儿园教育指导纲要(试行)》指出:以游戏为基本活动。因此,利用游戏情境,采用图标演示让幼儿明确相应的发展内容,并突显相应的发展要领,便于促进幼儿有目的地发展基本动作。旨在从以动物为形象,在相应的情境中,发展幼儿的基本动作;以挑战为激励,在相应的游戏中,综合发展幼儿的基本动作;以混龄为策略,在特定的游戏中,逐步发展幼儿的基本动作这三方面来阐述在户外活动中针对不同年龄段和不同发展水平的幼儿设置基本动作发展区、挑战区、混龄区,同时在每个区每个游戏场地上投放游戏流程展板来促进幼儿自主发展其基本动作。
