压力输水管中经常会有一些未溶解的空气,常造成输水能力降低(5~15%),并导致水头损失增加。从管道中尽可能地排除未溶解的空气,可以提高管道系统的经济性、效率和输水能力。排除管道中的空气,一般用排气门和排气器。排气门的缺点是重量大(达70公斤),工作可靠性较低、消耗有色金属。为克服这些缺点,苏联曾研究一种新型排气门。
