《初中语文课程标准》指出:“能多角度观察生活,发现生活的丰富多彩,能抓住事物特征,有自己的感受和认识,力求真情实感地表达自己对自然、社会、人生的感受、体验和思考。”然而,写作水平的提高并非一朝一夕,若能将书面表达和口头表达相结合,指导学生讲述见闻、说明事理、论证观点、发表意见,不仅可以提高学生的表达能力,对写作水平的提高也有促进作用。可见,从提高学生写作素质来说,口头表达能力不容忽视。教师可以根据不同年级进行不同层次、不同角度的课前演讲训练,对提高学生写作水平具有重要的意义。
