本研究以浙江省温州市龙湾区沙城三小高段(五、六年级)150名11-13岁外来务工子女学生为调查对象,通过定量和定性相结合的实证调查方法,分析了沙城三小高段(五、六年级)外来务工子女学生英语学习动机的主要类型。结果表明,这一群体学生的主要英语学习动机类型从强到弱依次为社会责任动机、个人发展动机、信息媒介动机、内在学习兴趣动机、学习情境动机、成绩动机。了解英语学习动机类型有益于学生更好地认识自己的英语学习驱动力,并且能够使英语教师在教学中有针对性地采用不同策略激发和培养学生的英语学习兴趣,使该群体的主要英语学习动机类型在学习环境中能够得到有效激发。
In this study, 150 migrant children aged 11 to 13 in Sanchengxiaosimo (Grade 5 and 6), Longcheng District, Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province, were selected as the survey subjects. By means of quantitative and qualitative empirical investigation, (Fifth grade, sixth grade) migrant children major motivation for English learning. The results show that the main types of English learning motivation of this group of students are social responsibility motivation, personal development motivation, information media motivation, intrinsic learning motivation motivation, learning context motivation and performance motivation. Understanding the types of English learning motivation is conducive to students better understanding of their English learning driving force, and can make English teachers use different strategies in teaching targeted to stimulate and develop students’ interest in English learning so that the group’s primary English learning Motivation type can be effectively stimulated in the learning environment.
