前几年,各城市为解决大龄青年结婚用房,试探性地兴建了一些“鸳鸯楼”、“青年公寓”等各种形式的新婚住宅。这对解决当时燃眉之急、缓和社会矛盾起到了一定作用。但由于存在着一些缺陷,其效果不尽令人满意,因此近年来此类住宅发展缓慢,设计研究部门亦没有继续深入研究,但是社会的需求仍然存在,新婚住宅的兴建仍是住宅建设中不可忽视的项目,新婚住宅的设计也仍应是住宅建设中要研究的重点问题之一。前几年兴建的新婚住宅存在的共同问题大致是:
