In 1947, American Seymour Cray came to the Philippines to assist local guerrillas in removing Japanese soldiers remaining in the jungle. One day, they found eight thin Japanese soldiers. The eight were the last survivors. Seymour Cray curiously asked: ”What happened to your companions? Why did you just leave you?“ ”The animals were killed by the forest.“ A soldier sighed. It turned out that after hiding in the jungle, the soldiers quickly ate the dry food they carried. ”This jungle is full of banana trees. At first we all had bananas as the only food.
