随着语言哲学中“语言转向”向“语用转向”的过渡和发展,英语模糊限制语的研究也从语义学的角度转向了语用学的领域。本文从模糊限制语的语用分类着手,以商务英语中经常使用的程度变动语、范围变动语、直接缓和语与间接缓和模糊限制语为例,分析并阐述了合理使用这些模糊限制语,可以提高语言的表达效率和灵活性,使语气更为委婉柔和,充分发挥语言的交际沟通作用。
With the transition and development of “linguistic turn” and “pragmatic turn” in philosophy of language, the study of hedges in English has also shifted from the perspective of semantics to the field of pragmatics.
