The distribution characteristics of permeability coefficient of the main aquifer in Huolinhe City, Inner Mongolia were analyzed by applying the theory of regionalized variogram and the simulation of conditions. The explorable amount and water level of groundwater in the study area were calculated by finite element method and conditional simulation method. The reliability of groundwater extraction is evaluated.Research shows that conditional simulation is an effective tool to evaluate the reliability of groundwater extraction
