The Department of Otolaryngology, Kyoto Prefectural University of Medical Sciences in Japan treated 84 cases of tongue malignancy from 1956 to 1973. Statistical observations were as follows: The total number of head and neck malignancies was 791 cases, including 256 cases of laryngeal cancer.
