竹溪县与陕西、重庆接壤,是中西部的结合地,其产业基础与川、渝、陕的大部分山区接近,水土条件较好,自然资源丰富,魔芋产业初具规模,开发潜力巨大.根据西部大开发的最终目的,以及竹溪所处地理位置和魔芋产业发展基础,该产业不仅是本县农民致富脱贫的首选项目,同时也可带动秦巴山区广大农民脱贫致富,竹溪在西部大开发中具有不可忽视的作用.
Zhuxi County, bordering Shaanxi and Chongqing, is a combination of central and western China. Its industrial base is close to most mountainous areas in Sichuan, Chongqing and Shaanxi. Its soil and water conditions are good and its natural resources are abundant. The konjac industry takes shape and has great potential for development. According to the ultimate goal of developing the western region and the geographical location of Zhuxi and the basis for the development of the konjac industry, the industry is not only the preferred project for peasants to get rich out of poverty in this county, but also leads the broad masses of peasants in the Qinling and Palestinian mountains to shake off poverty and become rich. Large-scale development can not be ignored.
