The Greek Navy’s combat-class large guided missile launches a “Penguin” anti-ship missile at L-1169. The fighting class is actually a missile torpedo attacking craft, with a “Penguin” missile launch device at the bow of the yacht, and a torpedo tube on both sides of the bow. In July 2004, the Greek Navy conducted a drill in the Mediterranean. During the exercise, Greek naval vessels respectively fired missiles and torpedoes on the old L-1169 landing craft that were used as target ships. This article will use a set of current photos to show the cases of missiles and torpedoes hitting the target ship respectively and carry out the corresponding analysis to help readers better understand the similarities and differences between missile and torpedo attacks on ships.
