气门是内燃机中的重要零件之一,其内在质量及材质的优劣将影响到发动机的能力性、经济性、可靠性、耐久性。所以,对气门的材质要求是相当严格的。尤其是排气门,因为其工作在高温和高冲击交变载荷的条件下,根据工况确定好材质后,绝不允许混用其它不易保证发动机性能的材质,否则,将导致气门的快速磨损和受热后严重变形,致使发动机不能正常工作,或不能保证其应有的性能。所以,气门的材质问题对发动机来说是非常重要的。
