A novel benzimidazole dicarboxylic acid derivative was synthesized from 2-methylbenzimidazole. The basic structure was confirmed by IR, 1HNMR, elemental analysis and X-ray single crystal diffraction. X-ray diffraction analysis of the single crystal structure shows that the title compound in the solid state forms a one-dimensional infinite chain structure through intermolecular hydrogen bonding, and these one-dimensional infinite chain structures pass the π-π stacking action of the benzimidazole ring between the chain and the chain Form a two-dimensional structure.
