说到现代艺术,我们总会直接联想到欧美的艺术样式,这其实是一种相对偏狭的认识。欧美之外,亚洲、拉 丁美洲、澳洲、非洲等世界各地都有现代样式的艺术创作,而且在近一个世纪的发展中各自都取得了相当大的成 绩。但是在以往的认识视野中,这一部分长期被忽略。近年来,认识和发掘非欧美现代艺术的工作在国际范围内 已经形成一种热潮。今后在我们这个小小的窗口之中。也将有意识地多发表一些介绍和研究非欧美的现代艺术的 文章。本期鲍玉珩先生的《当代印度艺术》一文,即弥补了这方面的不足,值得关注。 此外,我们这个栏目今年还将推出一个新的观察系列,每期用两个版,概括介绍20世纪90年代以来的国外 艺术状况。读者只要连续关注,即能对国际艺术现状有个简明概括的认识。希望这一努力能得到作者和读者的支 持。
When it comes to modern art, we always associate directly with the artistic styles of Europe and the United States. This is actually a relatively narrow understanding.
