海洋观测卫星1号(MOS-1)是日本自行研制的第一颗地球观测卫星,其主要目的是观测海表面颜色及温度等海洋现象,其次是确定有关地球观测卫星的基本技术。最近MOS-1飞行星的总装已经完成。星体为箱型构造,仅在单面展开太阳电池板。它将于1987年1~2月用 N-Ⅱ火箭8号(二级式)发射。MOS-1的研制是在以日本电气公司为主,三菱电机、东芝、富士道等公司协助的共同组织下进行的。它的观测数据除了在宇宙开发事业团的地球观测中心(崎玉县鸠山町)接收之外,还决定在泰国接收。
MOS-1 is the first earth observation satellite developed by Japan. Its main purpose is to observe ocean phenomena such as color and temperature of the sea surface, and second, to determine the basic technologies for earth observation satellites. The final assembly of the MOS-1 flying star has recently been completed. Astral box-shaped structure, only one side of the solar panel. It will be launched by N-II Rocket 8 (two-stage) in January-February 1987. The development of MOS-1 was conducted under the common organization assisted by companies such as Nippon Electric Company, Mitsubishi Electric, Toshiba and Fujitsu. In addition to receiving its observations from the Space Exploration Mission Earth Observation Center (Hatoyama-cho, Saitama), it also decided to accept it in Thailand.
