OBJECTIVE: To determine the optimal dosage of antifluoride for magnesium and boron by adding trace elements magnesium and boron to food and to observe the reduction of dental fluorosis in mice. The optimal dosage of two elements was also used. Methods: 120 male ICR mice were randomly divided into 12 groups. The blank group received double distilled water. The fluoride group received double distilled water containing NaF110 mg / L, both of which were fed normal feed. In the magnesium and boron groups, sodium tetraborate (Na_2B_4O_7 · 10 H_2O) and magnesium sulfate (MgSO_4 · 7 H_2O) were added to the feed at different dosages respectively. During the experiment, we observed the body weight and growth rate of tooth growth, the formation time of dental fluorosis, the formation of grading and the 42nd (D42) grading, and the combination of magnesium and boron with the optimal dosage of anti-fluoride to observe the anti-fluoride effect . Results: The formation time, formation grade and D42 grade of tetrafluoroborate 878.55 mg / kg diet and magnesium sulfate 162.5 mg / kg diet group were all less than those of fluoride group and other dosage groups (P <0.05) 878.55 mg / kg feed group is the optimal dose of anti-fluoride alone. CONCLUSION: The optimal dose of magnesium sulfate was 162.5 mg / kg diet, and the optimal dosage of 878.55 mg / kg sodium tetraborate was the optimum dosage for the whole experimental group. The combined effect of boron and magnesium in the optimal dosage group was less than that of the 878.55 mg / kg feed dosage group of sodium tetraborate.
