贾兰坡,著名考古学家,中国考古学的奠基人 之一,因1936年11月在北京周口店连续发现三 个北京猿人头盖骨而闻名世界。1980年当选为中 国科学院院士;1994年被选为美国国家科学院外 籍院士;1996年获得第三世界科学院院士。2001 年,93岁的贾兰坡在京逝世。 遵其遗愿,贾兰坡先生的骨灰安葬在龙骨山 西侧山花烂漫、芳草萋萋的半山腰间。
Jia Lanpo, one of the famous archaeologists and one of the founders of Chinese archeology, is famous around the world for discovering three Pekingese skulls in Zhoukoudian, Beijing in November 1936. He was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Science in 1980; was elected as a foreign academician of the National Academy of Sciences in 1994; and academician of the Third World Academy of Sciences in 1996. In 2001, Jia Lanpo, 93, died in Beijing. Following the wishes of his predecessor, Mr. Jalan Lan’s ashes burial in the west side of the Longshan Mountains Yamahana, grassy shy Mid-levels waist.
