上海电报局担负着国内和国际极其繁忙的电报通信业务,为了改变当前电报通信中仍是采用人工转报的落后面貌,自1975年开始在上无十三厂与复旦大学的帮助下,研究采用通用电子计算机进行电报自动转接的新技术,制订了自动转报的技术方案,并于1976年和77年先后装置了两台DJS-131电子计算机,相继配置了32路异步通信转接器、G-3型磁鼓存贮器、多机通信转接器和双机系统监视器等设备。目前已初步建立了可接32路外线(包括座席)自动转报的双机系统。中间试验表明,系统已基本具备各项业务功能,稳定性曾达数百小时,电报转接时间平均3分钟左右,比人工降低十倍,变字率0.04%,比人工下
