2009年11月16日下午,国家教育部副部长陈小娅冒雨来到温州市特殊教育学校,视察了该校的校容校貌、教育教学设施、学生的生活设施后,给予了充分的肯定,并鼓励该校更好地为残疾学生服务。自从2009年九月份,温州市特殊教育学校正式开学后,引起了全社会多方关注。新建的温州市特殊教育学校坐落于永嘉县瓯北镇,占地面积185亩,规划建筑面积5.2万平方米,办学规模为102个班级,可容纳1200名学生。该校由原温州市聋哑学校、永嘉县聋哑学校、温州市新码道学校、温州市盲人学校合并而成,包含学前教育到高中教育,是集教育、康复和培训为一体的15年制公立、全寄宿特殊教育学校。温州市教育局局长林卫平说:“目前,这所学校是全国规模最大、资金投入最多的一所特教学校。全市残疾孩子的入学率达99.34%,残疾孩子的教育基本得到了保证。”在这所特殊学校里,软硬件设施如何?老师们是怎样教学?学生们又是如何上课?和普通学校区别在哪里?带着这些问题,记者近日走访了该特殊学校。
