Kailash Satyarthi, original name Kailash Sharma, was born on 11 January 1954, in the Vidisha district of central Indian state of Mad-hya Pradesh.rnSatyarthi was born to a Brahman police of-ficer and a homemaker.rnHe changed his surname to Satyarthi (meaning“seeker of truth”). The name change followed an incident where he decided to orga-nize a dinner for the upper caste(高种姓) res-idents with food cooked by low caste(低种姓) people.
