桂枝汤,在《伤寒》中有19处,《金匮》中有3处,计22条。方由桂枝、白芍、生姜、炙甘草、大枣组成。药仅5味,而配伍严谨,疗效卓著,可谓“四两拨千斤”。经多年临床实践,笔者认为,桂枝汤能固护卫阳,燮理营阴;温通心阳,养阴护液;健脾益气,安中和胃;疏通经脉,缓急止痛。因而,枝枝汤的主治并不局限于太阳中风的表虚证,而是能够治疗多脏腑、多病证,看似平淡而行之有效之良方。余不惴浅陋,将昔年用该方之治验随笔,拾掇一二,以飨同道,颇望赐教。

Therefore, the indications of Zhizhi Decoction are not confined to the symptoms and symptoms of solar-stroke, but can be used to treat multiple organs and syndromes. This seems to be a bland and effective prescription.
