根据新课标的具体理念,必须重视素质教育,然而在英语这门学科中,还存在着英语学习的难题,尤其在广大落后的农村等地,直面素质教育,是摆在所有教师面前的一项艰巨的任务。有调查表明,英语学困生大量存在的原因主要有以下几个方面:一是外语师资的问题,导致学生兴趣低下;二是区域差异,直接导致学生毕业时的水平差异;三是中小学英语衔接问题;四是学生本人的非智力因素所致。本文,笔者主要从非智力因素以及心理学与教育学中学习动机理论方面着手,分析其成因,主要特点以及解决对策。使得素质教育不断深入开展,英语学困生数量逐步减少。
