黄杨并盾蚧是我国园林绿化植物的一种主要害虫。由于该虫身被蜡质，防治困难。１９９２年应用蜡蚧灵等３种化学农药进行了防治技术研究和药效试验，结果表明：越冬雌成虫活动期和一代若虫出壳盛末期是防治最佳时期，蜡蚧灵和氧化乐果是比较理想的防治药剂。
