This article aims to analyze and interpret the Sino-European relations written by two Eastern European writers. The article is based on an analysis of two travel works. The first is Kluz Kinu by Serbian traveler Milutin Velimirovich and the second is by Polish diplomat Konstantin Simonovi Odd “Chinese I Meet” (Moi Chińczycy). The main idea of this paper is to imagine geography and imageology. Both of China’s two writers, who lived in the early twentieth century, visited the Far East in special historical periods. At that time, China’s political division was experiencing various inequalities in international exchanges. Shimonovitch and Veli Mikrovic took note of the prevailing political situation and were also concerned about China’s great history and various issues related to cross-cultural exchanges. The two writers have a special point of view because they represent Europe, but they belong to the eastern part of European civilization from countries that did not participate in the expansion of the Empire. They look at China from the perspective of Eastern Europe, but they can also pull themselves out of various European prejudices. In this article, we compare and contrast their descriptions and remarks on the exchange between China and the EU in the early twentieth century.
