语言学习的最终目的是为了实现交流。有意义的交流都是在语篇层次上进行的 ,而语篇模式又与文化传统密切相关。汉英两种语言由于各自的文化差异 ,在语篇组织方面很不相同。如果用典型的汉语语篇模式去组织英语语篇 ,则很可能达不到预期的交流效果。本文从汉英语篇比较的角度探讨中国学生在英语写作中的问题 ,指出学生应超越单纯的字句层次 ,跳出汉语作文的框架限制 ,努力从英语语篇组织的角度去考虑文章 ,以充分地实现交流的目的 The ultimate goal of language learning is to achieve communication.
