词汇是英语教学中的基本组成部分,一个人的英语词汇量也是衡量其英语水平的主要依据。纵观我国的词汇教学,笔者发现教师基本是从共时的角度讲解词汇的拼写、发音、含义、搭配等内容,很少从历史的角度提供词汇的词源信息。然而,词汇的意义都经历了长期的演变过程,有些词语具有清晰的词源理据,在词汇教学中如果能适当地加入词源
Vocabulary is an essential part of English teaching, a person’s English vocabulary is also the main basis for measuring their English level.
