Increasing use of recycled fibers, highly enclosed wet ends, reuse of high-conductivity white water, and the addition of large amounts of filler all contribute to a reduction in wet-end chemicals. This article describes the POLYTENTION - a PAM-type dispersion of chemical additives, has a strong cohesion, and can enhance the one-way fiber retention rate in harsh conditions; and only with preservatives compared to the paper, Application POLYTENTION can also increase the dry strength of the paper. The paper also examines the pulp flocculation and paper evenness when using POLYTENTION, and discusses the role of POLYTENTION in various papermaking conditions.
