对于通信行业来说,机房发生设备宕机是不能容忍的,这直接关系到企业的信誉、形象、用户数量乃至运营的收入。因此,在建立数据中心的过程中,需要认真考虑很多子系统。在许多情况下,目标可用性是五个9;但情况往往是:这些数据中心在规划时并没有使用全面的方法。某个子系统的生产商可能宣称他们可以达到五个9的可用性,但是当这些系统集成在一起时,可用性级别却要低得多,用户所预期的数据中心的可用性目标并没有实现。在规划数据中心建设时,管理人员一定首先要逐一考虑这些子系统,然后再考虑每一个子系统如何影响和限制数据中心的总体可用性。
For the communications industry, equipment room equipment downtime can not be tolerated, which is directly related to corporate reputation, image, number of users and even operating income. As a result, many subsystems need to be carefully considered in setting up a data center. In many cases, the target availability is five 9; but often the case is: these data centers do not use a comprehensive approach when planning. Producers of one subsystem may claim that they can achieve five-nine availability, but when the systems are integrated, the availability levels are much lower and the user-expected data center availability goals are not met. When planning a data center, managers must first consider each of these subsystems one by one and then consider how each subsystem affects and limits the overall availability of the data center.
