Municipal People’s Governments, provincial government departments, directly-affiliated organizations, and related organizations: To accelerate the leap-forward development of high-tech industries in our province and to transform and upgrade traditional industries with high-tech, and to promote comprehensive cooperation with domestic research institutes and institutions of higher learning. The provincial government is scheduled to hold joint activities for the cooperation of provincial colleges and universities in 2002 from May 18th to 23rd in Shenyang. At that time, it will invite “one school and six schools” (Chinese Academy of Sciences, Peking University, Tsinghua University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Xi’an Jiaotong University, Harbin Institute of Technology, and Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics have conducted docking negotiations and signing activities for 50 colleges and universities, including some colleges and universities and provincial-level research institutes in the province. During the event, the provincial leaders will sign a comprehensive cooperation agreement with Shanghai Jiaotong University, Xi’an Jiaotong University, Harbin Institute of Technology, and Beijing Airlines during the “15th Five-Year Plan” period; sign the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement between the universities and colleges and the signing ceremony of the cooperation project;
