为了寻找更多的竹种来源,1980年3月16日我们在宜兴县茗岭公社长岗大队的十二山脚下,利用不同年龄、不同胸围的毛竹竹蔸进行了竹蔸造林试验,取得了初步结果.现将材料整理初报如下:一、试验方法在竹林内分别选取2年生不同胸围毛竹2株,2年生不同地围竹蔸3个(系79年11月份砍伐后留下),4年生不同胸围毛竹6株,4年生不同地围竹蔸2个(也系79年11月份砍伐后留下),6年生不同胸围的毛竹4株.然后将选好的所有毛竹离地5厘米左右处砍伐,并将竹蔸全部用山锄挖起.竹蔸规格要求:(1)鞭根要完整;(2)鞭上至少要有2个活鞭芽;(3)带土的多少根据毛竹胸围的粗细而定,胸围大的多
