SOS儿童村组织是一个国际性的民间慈善团体,其宗旨是为那些失去父母的孤儿提供一个家庭式的生活环境—SOS家庭,即以家庭为单位收养孤儿,选聘合格的母亲来抚养孩子,使他们重新获得母爱和家庭的温暖。每个SOS家庭都有独立的住宅,有6—8名不同年龄的孤儿,彼此以兄弟姊妹相称,由一位SOS妈妈照顾,后者给孤儿以全部母爱。中国天津SOS儿童村于1986年10月建成并开始收养孤儿,为国内现有的两所SOS儿童村之一(另一所设在烟台),目
SOS Children’s Village is an international private charitable organization whose purpose is to provide a family-style living environment for those orphaned parents who have lost their parents. The SOS family, that is, orphans at home, employ qualified mothers to raise children, So that they can regain the warmth of maternal love and family. Each SOS family has an independent home, with 6-8 orphans of different ages, each of whom is a sibling and is looked after by a SOS mother, who gives the orphans full maternal love. SOS Children’s Village, Tianjin, China, was established and started to adopt orphans in October 1986. It is one of two existing SOS children’s villages in China (the other is located in Yantai).
