From December 18 to December 19, 2014, “Symposium on Inheritance and Protection of Li Nationality Music” sponsored by Hainan Normal College Conservatory of Music and Hainan Musicians Association was held at Hainan Normal University. The meeting aims to study the inheritance and protection of Li music culture and promote the cultural construction in Hainan Province. The content of the conference consists of two parts: academic seminar and cultural investigation. The seminar involves the keynote speech, the Li instrument exhibition, the Li ethnic song and dance performances, and the on-the-spot investigation of Li music activities. I.
