最近上海人民出版社出版了马洪林同志撰写的《康有为》一书,全书近十七万字,是建国以来康有为研究的新收获。该书有三个特点:一是主题新。以往有些著作往往从改良主义者这一定性的分析出发来研究康有为,不能实事求是地评价康有为及资产阶级维新运动的历史功绩。学术贵在创新,马洪林同志从爱国主义这一角度来评述康有为的一生,摒弃了旧的框架。事实上,康有为向西方寻求真理、领导戊戌维新运动的思想渊源,盖出自其对祖国的热爱。当然康有为的爱国主义思想还是属于“忠君爱国”的范畴,因而也曾在张勋复辟中扮演过极不光彩的角色。但综其一生,康有为作为近代中国伟大的爱国者是当之无愧的, Recently, Shanghai People’s Publishing House published a book entitled Kang Youwei written by Comrade Ma Honglin, which covers nearly 170,000 characters and is a new achievement gained by Kang Youwei since the founding of the People’s Republic. The book has three characteristics: First, the theme of the new. In the past, some works often proceeded from the qualitative analysis of the reformists to study Kang Youwei, and could not evaluate the historic achievements of Kang Youwei and the bourgeois reform movement in a down-to-earth manner. As a result of academic innovation, Comrade Ma Honglin commented on Kang Youwei’s life from the perspective of patriotism and abandoned the old framework. In fact, Kang Youwei sought the truth from the West and led the ideological origins of the Hundred-Hu Reform Movement, outlining his love of the motherland. Of course, Kang Youwei’s patriotism still belonged to the category of “loyalty and patriotism” and thus played an extremely disgraceful role in the restoration of Zhang Xun. But for the rest of her life, Kang Youwei is well-deserved as a great patriot in modern China.
