Researchers from the Department of Medicine, Sheba Research Center, Israel, conducted a survey of 2.3 million Israeli children aged 16-19 years [mean age (17.3 ± 0.4) years] body mass index (BMI) data from 1967 to 2010 For the analysis, the BMI grouping was based on the BMI age and gender percentile from the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention. The primary outcome variable was 2011 due to coronary heart disease, stroke, unexplained sudden death, or sum of the three, as assessed using the Cox proportional hazards model.
