初中阶段,由于学习科目的增多,教学内容的加深,对学生的思维能力、计算能力和想象能力的要求也逐步提高。这样不可避免地出现了一批后进生,而在农村初中数学教学中,这种现象比较普遍,它严重影响了农村初中教育质量的提高。因此,探索后进生的转化,是提高农村初中数学教学质量的有效途径。面对后进生我们不能放弃,只能转化。后进生并不都是天生弱智,而大多数是因为后天因素造成的。有的对学习没有兴趣,没有信心;有的上课不认真,情绪消极;有的产生逆反心理和对抗情绪,导致自暴自弃。所以,需要经过教师耐心细致教育转化,是完全有可能转变为先进生的。
