Josephine was born in a small fishing village in the West Indies. Before she married the most famous man in Europe’s history, she was a poor girl living in a broken house upstairs in a sugar factory. Her full name Mary Joseph Rose Tuskeh Phu Quoc, however, people often call her “Josephine.” Josephine and Napoleon were 33 when they first met, while Napoleon was 27. She does not look pretty, her teeth are not very tidy, and she is a married woman who already has two young children; in addition, she owes a lot of debt.
