离石县王家沟流域地处晋西黄土丘陵沟壑区,自然条件适宜发展经济林。该流域从50年代开始,结合水土流失综合治理,逐步在坡耕地栽植经济林。据调查,截止1986年底,全流域有经济林410.4亩,占总耕地面积7％。由于该地气候比较干早,年降水量少,且多集中于5～9月,加上严重的水土流失,导致土壤肥力极为贫瘠。据
Lishi County Wangjiagou watershed is located in western Shanxi loess hill and gully area, natural conditions suitable for the development of economic forest. Beginning in the 1950s, the basin has gradually planted economic forests on sloping fields in combination with comprehensive management of soil and water loss. According to the survey, as of the end of 1986, there were 410.4 mu of economic forest in the whole basin, accounting for 7% of the total cultivated land.
