This paper introduces the application of discrete optimization in mechanism kinematics design. Compared with the general optimization techniques, the discrete optimization method has the advantages of good reliability, high efficiency, and the design parameters conforming to the engineering design requirements. It is a powerful tool for the design of the mechanism kinematics.
