《林业科学》开展这一问题的讨论对大家颇有帮助。符伍儒、华网坤等同志对有关理论问题已作了较深入分析。这里拟作一点小的补充,以供讨论中参考。模拟或象限样地这类方法已有很久历史。其总的名称被称做“距离法”(Distance method)。早在1835年G.Konig(Die Forstmathematik)就已介绍过此法。此后有许多人采用和研究过。曾分别试验过用第一到第六株邻近木的平均距离来估计单位面积株数。这类方法在国外用得较多的是在生态学研究中,用以估计各类植株出现的频度。
