据李素萍2017年7月24日[Nature Biomedical Engineering,2017,(1):667-679.]报道,在肿瘤微环境中,肿瘤相关血小板在维持肿瘤血管完整性方面也具有重要功能:通过分泌5-羟色胺(5-HT)、血小板第四因子(PF-4)、转化生长因子(TGF)-β等颗粒内容物或直接黏附于血管受损处,肿瘤相关血小板能够维持肿瘤血管内皮的完整,阻止肿瘤内出血。肿瘤相关血小板的这一特殊功能为肿瘤维持其快速生长的特性提供了保障,使肿瘤组织不会因得不到充分的血液和营养供应而坏死。中国科学院国家纳米科学
