新闻短评是一种篇幅短小、选材广泛、署名的新闻评论。它篇幅短小到通常为千字以内,有的甚至只有三五百字;选材广泛到大至国内外重要事件,小至衣食住行问题。笔者从事应用写作课教学多年,深切地体会到,以新闻短评这样短小的文章式样去反映社会生活的某一侧面,对写作技能的要求更高。我国明清之际思想家王夫之说过:“是与非奚准乎?理也、事也、情也。”新闻短评的作用是帮助人们明辨是非、善恶,鼓励社会追求真理、向往光明。这一作用的发挥,主要是凭借它的说服力和论辩力,
News short comment is a kind of short, wide selection, signature news commentary. It is short to usually within a thousand words, and some even only three to five hundred words; wide range of materials to major domestic and international events, ranging from basic necessities of life.
