Taboo language and euphemism research is one of the important contents of language research, people often use euphemism in everyday communication instead of taboo language. In the field of cognitive linguistics, Wittgenstein’s family similarity theory is the inheritance and development of classical category theory, which is the basis of the theory of prototype category. Based on the theory of family similarity, this article explores the categorization of taboo words and euphemisms and the generation of euphemisms.
